Передав теплі вітання другу України Президентові Байдену, побажав успіхів у зміцненні американського лідерства в світі та швидкому подоланні викликів.
Наголосив, що стратегічний успіх України залежить від єдності всіх демократичних сил для ефективної відсічі російській агресії, відновлення територіальної цілісності та впровадження реформ заради добробуту України, членства в ЄС і НАТО, а також шляхів допомоги Україні у протидії викликам коронавірусу.
У реалізації цих завдань важливою є всебічна політична і практична підтримка з боку США. У цьому контексті передав новій американській адміністрації особисте бачення шляхів поглиблення українсько-американського стратегічного партнерства та внеску США у зміцнення політичної, фінансово-економічної та оборонної стійкості нашої держави. Підтримую заяву Держсекретаря Блінкена, що нам слід будувати в Україні міцну і дієву демократію!
Happy to meet again with the US State Secretary Mr. Blinken, Ms. Nuland and Mr. Reeker, the wonderful “Ukrainian team” in the new US administration.
I conveyed warm greetings from Ukraine to President Biden, wished him every success in strengthening the US world leadership and overcoming the challenges expeditiously.
I stressed on that Ukraine’s strategic success depends on unity of all democratic forces to effectively counter the Russian aggression, to restore territorial integrity and implement reforms for Ukraine’s benefit, and for membership in the EU and NATO, as well as on ways to help Ukraine overcoming the challenges of coronavirus.
The US comprehensive political and practical support is important in the fulfilment of these goals. In this context, to the US administration I conveyed my personal vision of how to deepen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the US, and how the US could contribute to strengthening the political, financial, economic and defensive resilience of our state. Absolutely agree with Secretary Blinken that what we need to build in Ukraine is a strong and functional democracy!
